    the hole uses its simple premise in such a effective and beautiful way, creating this timeless story of finding love and human connection in a hopeless place. a hole may lead to a dark pit but that also means that the opposite must be true. tsai ming-liang does a great job further proving that point by building up to what is one of the most rewarding scenes in cinema.
