Despite what this movie is about, I found it very peaceful and calm for some reason, maybe it was the soundtrack that was putting me at ease. I thought the movie was decent, although a bit slower paced than I was anticipating. My main take away from this movie is that I need to visit Ireland the place looks stunning. Also as a side note I thought Kerry Condon was fantastic in this!
I was also fully unprepared to see Joffrey from Game of Thrones I thought I was seeing things.
I could best describe cafe society as a warm walk into the 1930s. I really liked the visuals and cinematography in this movie, but everything else fell kind of short for me. The story felt like it lacked pace and i felt like it didn’t flow very well in certain places. This being said, the cast is solid and I do still think it’s worth a watch.
This is a movie that I really wish I could have seen in the theatre. Words can’t really describe the way that I felt throughout this cinematic masterpiece.
