The moment I stopped taking the movie literally, it started to make more sense.
It depicted the issues of feminism, sexuality and freedom in a unique way. I'll be honest, it is a bit confusing. However, the little dialogues are the ones that really bring the true meaning of the story. No lines of dialogues were unnecessary. If I were to watch it a second time, everything would come together nicely.
I just watched it because of it's horror genre but I was pleasantly surprised by it's deeper meaning.
