Do you like scary movies?
Here for screams and questionable life choices.
Brutal and unforgettable—a twisted look at trauma that’s hard to stomach. Brilliantly made, but so dehumanizing I doubt I could watch it again.
The Shining is endlessly rewatchable for me. Kubrick’s eerie atmosphere, Nicholson’s wild performance, and Duvall’s raw emotion all come together perfectly. It’s not just great horror—it’s one of my favorite films of all time.
There’s a reason Halloween is still a horror staple. Carpenter’s genius lies in keeping things simple—just Michael Myers, that iconic mask, and a chilling synth score. Some say it’s slow or the characters are thin, but that stripped-back style only makes it feel more real to me. It doesn’t need gimmicks; it’s terrifying because it finds horror in the ordinary. Even after all these years, it holds up for me.
