  watched this in my bedroom with no context. wept. repeatedly. sublime performances. insanely catchy music. the choice to have harmonies in come to your senses (which is NOT on the original soundtrack) was inspired. alexandra shipp's voice a gorgeous surprise. garfield immersed in the role. tried to listen to the og soundtrack and couldn't--this is the best version by far.

  went in completely blind. way more sci fi than i was expecting. clementine felt like the manic pixie prototype but then had lines subverting it. wondered about seeing more substance through their actual relationship, but loved the non linear storytelling. really engrossing. the simplicity of the final scene "okay" was pitch perfect.
