great way to end a great year of film even though I didn't watch much (lots of catching up to do)
Beautifully shot. Horrific. Disgusting. Fantastic remake. The voice for Count Orlok was fitting. Mustache caught me off guard. Solid acting all around. I only jumped like 2 times. Ending was truly tragic as expected.

I get it, but at the same time, it's so frustrating watching a film where all the human characters are irrational, dumb and annoying. So many idiotic choices made due to "human nature" that makes the movie a bit too frustrating for my tastes.
Effects and stage designs are amazing though. Acting was decent enough. Story was pretty solid. Overall, not too bad but something I wouldn't watch again. Crazy ending too.

Brilliant film and ahead of its time.
My introduction to Lynch at age 20. This one left me empty, confused & depressed. Exactly what I like to see in a film. Ambience is underappreciated in film, and with Lynch, I was able to find my favorite style. A masterpiece.
