I sat down expecting a movie that grapples with themes of identity and self mixed with the different parts we are forced to play based on our environment.

I got something so much better.

Mickey 17 is a film with a cast giving their absolute best on screen. Seriously, Pattinson is an absolute knock out that deserved a million applauses for his role here! I adored every single part of the performances.

I’m avoiding spoilers because I genuinely think that going in with absolutely the barest idea of what this film contains is the best way to experience it.

I thought I’d come out with an “eh” at best opinion on the film, but I genuinely do actually think it’s a decent film with what it’s portraying. I’m not the biggest fan of Lively in the role, but the film has amazing tension and also, does pretty okay with the chemistry between all three leads.

listen, i didn't go into this thinking i would be crying out "mommy" by the end, but by the end, that is…

i love when a sport gradually gets more intense to showcase the dynamics of the opposing players' relationship. sorry, nothing will have me seated quite like that.

anyway, originally, i was feeling eh about challengers, but the longer i sat with it, i couldnt STOP thinking about it, and now, i find i'm obsessed with the movie.

does that make it great? idk. does that make it bad? idk. all i know is that three leads here did their damnest…
