Lake Mungo 2008
I felt like they could have gone a little farther with some of the scenes and omit certain parts of the story to make it more cohesive, but I was spooked by the end of it. The ending credits felt like a huge missed opportunity to show Alice looming in some of the cuts. The climax is one that I will be thinking about for a while though. I love a good ghost tale

Loved the start of this movie and the transitions between the characters. Found myself wishing the movie was more balls to wall once the infections started becoming more rampant. There’s too much time spent watching people walk along a street or screaming into the void and not enough substance. That being said, this felt like a refreshing, fun take on the genre

Terrifier 3 2024
Definitely the weakest of the three. Something about the acting is still cringe, and it’s not getting better with a bigger budget. I cackle every time the characters shove a bunch of tabs of paroxetine into their mouth. Art felt less scary in this one, and I feel like the lore is starting to detract from the mystery surrounding his character so I don’t think the subsequent movies are going to get any better unfortunately
