The anti western (north western). Non macho men depend on each other and capitalism is clearly bad (but it doesn’t change our heroes fate)… yet somehow I feel ok about the world? Some might call it cope, but I think it’s beautiful.

edit: ok i'll be more specific. After reading about the science/physics theories behind the movie it's safe to say there are no black hole sized plot holes. That doesn't mean those plot choices made the movie better artistically (although him getting spit out and being totally fine is still questionable). The resolution is far too clean and cheery for a movie that's thematic strengths relate to loss. Love being the secret ingredient remains corny af.
