James McAvoy loves playing weird little fuckers huh. Lots of exposition. Plot was rather thinly veiled through the whole film. The original book gave a lot more context as to why Bruce is the way he is and why his family left him, in the movie it’s quite vague and confusing. A little too many action/comic scenes for my liking, just felt like it was one after the other rather than scenes that actually develop the plot. Enjoy the fact that Bruce doesn’t get the redemption the audience might anticipate he will, satisfying final scene. The cartoon credits give you incredible whiplash.
