Disarmingly beautiful. Bittersweet and incredibly personal moments sometimes feel not our place to behold, but makes for a stunning coming-of-age story. Oliver’s healing wound is, poignantly, nearly the only reminder of the passing of time and inevitability of the summer’s end. The closing scene is deeply moving. You will ask yourself searching questions after watching this film, which I think is intentional.
