  Chosen and biological families working to create a legacy for a trans icon and a better future and honoured history for trans and queer people. 

  It was beautiful to see Venus’ biological family truly grow over the course of this film from somewhat cautious allies to truly powerful allies proud to make an impact for their Sister and the wider community. 

  There were many scenes in this film that made me cry. Paris is Burning has a complicated past and it was nice to see the intention of creating a lasting impact through this documentary. To contribute positively to that history.
