Gorgeous cinematography, sets, design. Everything else about this movie I hated. I did fast forward through the last three quarters tho. But it has no tension, dread, fear, joy, good acting. Bill Sarsgard sounds like a What We Do in the Shadows impression. Nicholas Holt does a good job of acting scared even though we don’t feel scared. Lily Rose Depp shows her only talent is being a nepo baby.

Burr is a funnier person than stand-up. He comes across a bit too conservative in ways he ain’t. But this special had lots of laughs and he’s always a good time. He still finds ways to offend in the best ways

A movie that wants to be an allegory but also wants to offer chills and scares. It ends up not quite achieving either but misses the mark with style! A gorgeous film that’s still creepy. (Maybe I’m dumb, but shouldn’t the Candyman only target oppressive conjurors and not like kids?)

Feels like a combo of Isolation and the original Alien and to me that’s a spicy combo!
