  Viggo Mortensen is such a delight to watch, in every film he’s involved in. My favorite characters I’ve seen him play always exude a masterful balance between strength and a quiet gentleness (i.e., zero toxic masculinity). The tenderness between father and son in this movie was a particular joy to experience, especially against such an unsettling and depressing plot and backdrop. Makes me want to rewatch Eastern Promises for more Viggo screen time
