  Real feeling of epic filmmaking, realized by the excellent storytelling and the space that the pacing of the film deserves. The comedic relief from Javier was unexpected but cut through the self-seriousness that was present all in the first film which I really appreciated. Really hard to nail down all the ways I appreciate this movie, but vibing in the desert with a montage is peak Dune adaptation

  Besides the last strange act, this film has some of the most beautifully realized space fiction that still holds up to this day. Every part of the ship feels so crucial and utilitarian, but represents a crew member in a nice way. Fun to rewatch!

  Simply an amazing film. I think I prefer it to even Shin Godzilla but mostly because it honours the original film in such a tasteful way.

Following
