This was such an adorable and fun sci-fi, it really felt like it was enjoying itself
Amazed to find out this is the least-Godzilla-y of the franchise with like 6 minutes of Goji onscreen, but his presence is still felt with the iconic victory dance :)

A wonderful mix of charm and camp practical effects and a harrowing human storyline that really gives you a glimpse at the horrors of nuclear devastation.
“We’ll be with Daddy soon” is a scene I wasn’t ready for and I doubt I’ll ever forget it, and despite having such tonally distant experiences, it all comes together and really works as one film.
I was so ready for him to turn hot from the matter exterminator. Makes as much sense as Beatrice’s convenient grief processing (he ate her fiancé.. not just killed. He ATE him.. and she cried for 5 seconds and it was never relevant again).
The plane stuff felt random in hindsight as it doesn’t really get touched on, unless her survival is what makes her a miracle, and that’s somehow needed to help kill the monster.
Wasn’t clear.
Made me want to go to Iceland, very cute horses :)
