Finally watched and enjoyed it a lot more than expected. I don’t like it’s messaging about masculinity or how the film depicts women, fetishizes war, and frames uninhibited, sexually active women as the sign of a morally failing "next generation," but it is undeniably well made and is a true horror film. This movie was definitely made for a male audience. The way he manipulated her and it went entirely unaddressed?? The first and second halves have seemingly nothing to do with one another, and the ending was unsatisfactory. Also I love Domhnall Gleason but I have never experienced the ick harder than while watching his little jig at the wedding.

Bad animation, bad songs, bad writing, bad characters, bad dialogue. It was ambitious and contained unique messaging for a Disney movie, but was terribly executed. I think if they had put more time and money into the movie, it could have been really good. Chris Pine put his whole Magnificussy into his performance.
