  I really liked the decision to focus on the structure of civil collapse- polarization, loss of trust, normalization of political violence- instead of trying to make some statement about the current political climate. Keeping the story allegorical/structural allows insights that transcend historical/cultural context. I also think it was very funny and the acting was great. The small bits of information about how the states were allied were interesting.

  This was very poorly marketed. It's definitely not a horror movie. It's more coming of age / period piece. If I'd known this, I think I would've enjoyed it more. This movie was a slice of life for 4chan users around 2010. Very sad and I will not watch again.
