  deducting half a star because of the physical toll crying for two and a half hours took on me. really good. really really really good. movies that work with another piece of material and become informed by and inform that material are doing the work of poetry. This film is one of the few where watching it seems to translate and demonstrate the experience of a good poem, and all of the complexities therein, into some other tangible experience. my friend Theo would say that is the differentiating aspect of cinema, probably. let’s say it is. great film.
