What do you even say about a movie like this? A baffling picture, with various gems of acting and direction, although they are like tiny veins of gold in a mountain of madness and nonsense. Deeply mindboggling.

Deadpool & Wolverine 2024
Honestly was not expecting much going in, it had a "floaty" quality to its energy from the first trailers. The actual viewing experience is worse, like a dentist's drill that slowly but surely grinds your brain and leaves just enough space for a few dozen jokes about megacorporations becoming even more of a monopoly, before leaving you utterly exhausted. This I could attribute to me getting older but I also just think its a pretty bad movie regardless of age.

As exhilirating as it was on the first watch, Dune Part Two is, also, even more rewarding on the second go around. Epic in every sense of the word, it grabs you from the get-go and does not let up until Dennis Villeneuve's name shows up to signal the curtains closing.
