  Banging first 20mins sooooo strong and then like…. i just wish it didn’t care about tying up all the loose plot ends as much as it did and just felt itself out a bit more… had so much atmosphere it could have played with more idk… kind of not scary enough either. or maybe that’s me getting older nothing scares me 💀💀

  Boom best film of 2024 I’m calling it for myself now. 

  This was like a masterclass in how not to push anything on your audience she had the whole cinema in the palm of her hand and she took us to soooo many places. Super playful but also dense with images, ideas, rhythm and magic. 

  Carol Duarte was a real discovery for me too i’m kind of speechless and still under its spell tbh

  look idk.

  i was sobbing throughout because…. scenes of family intimacy, andrew scott is an acting god who walks amongst us and i can’t help but fall for films which are a bit on the emotionally indulgent side .

  but man this director does take himself very seriously… the uncompromising soft focus…. the overly loud library music soundtrack… 

  i think he wants to be the next terence malick or something not sureeeee about itttt
