  A mindblowingly original film that's so much more than the letterboxd blurb would have you believe. It also has one of my new all time favourite opening moments to a film.

  That said I do feel like this suffers slightly simply because of when it was made. I feel like in the pre-SCP, pre-analogue-horror-boom world of 2008 we just hadn't fully figured out the narrative or aesthetic tools that work best for this kind of super abstract horror villain.

  One of the worst audiences Ive sat with. I was sat between a toddler waay too young to see it who was crying the whole time and an old man who carried on repeating the phrase 'why did you make me come and see this'.

  Despite all that I really enjoyed it, Im going to be quoting certain lines forever.
