What can I say. A funny political whirlwind of power, greed, self obsession and “love”.
Appreciated the no trespassing metaphor linking the first and last scenes.
In short, “I don’t think any word can explain a man’s life. I guess rosebud is just a piece in a jigsaw puzzle. A missing piece.“

Great length, great characters, and some of the best dialogue I’ve heard. A well deserved and recommendable 4.5 ⭐️ film.

Spielberg really does it with this one. Character development is deep and reveals itself very naturally. The transition we see of Sammy to Sam was well paced with appropriate romance. Loved the Hanukkah scene and the “show don’t tell” intervention between Sammy and his mother over her relationship with Benny. Could have been a little shorter and faster paced which I think is the only thing keeping me from giving this picture 5 ⭐️s. Hope Spielberg takes the Oscar for best director on this one.
