    Grand Theft Hamlet

    ★★★½

Never been exposed to this much Grand Theft or Shakespeare in my life. Hamlet’s ghost drifts on a blimp above a fractured world. It’s funny until the quiet settles. Beautifully broken.

  • Matt and Mara

    Matt and Mara

    ★★★½

No meet-cutes, no grand speeches—just two souls orbiting like moths around a dim bulb.
A film that makes “maturity” feel like a myth we tell to survive. Will remember Radwanski's name for the next one.

    Pleasure Boy Komola

    ★★★

The fantasies, childliness of Komola, surrounded by joyous musics puts a smile on our face everytime and almost makes us unprepared for those fleeting moment of evil.

The film sets up on the colonial era of Bangla. It explores the vast economic gap between the landlord and everyone who's not landlord. Resulting pederasty a way of entertainment for one and a way of escape from the burden of poverty for the other, shadowing their conscience and strong religious beliefs.

Crafted with elegance and pleasingly well performed by the entire cast, Ghetu Putro Komola is one of the better film our country has ever produced.

  • Limbo

    Limbo

    ★★★½

Limbo's take on the global refugee crisis is not just interesting but also an important one, both cinematically and thematically.
It's tenderness and humanistic approach filled with contemplating humor will make you smirk while keeping you familiar with the bigotries. The captivating long shots of the batten landscapes feels as if playing as much important role as our protagonists, showing despair and misplacement in a thorough manner.
