I'm a sucker for these type of things, so take my rating with a pinch of salt. However, if gonzo science, bad contact lenses, lovely seventies leading lady and OG Batman villains are your thing, then you'll want to check this out.

The Mad Bomber 1973
Chuck Connors, plays the titular Mad Bomber well, he certainly knows where to source copious sticks of dynamite. Neville Brand plays a sleazy rapist who also enjoys beating off to films of his wife in his shed! The cop is quite good too, he uses a proto-AI computer, police brutality and super accurate facial profiles, to hunt them both down. There's a few good explosions and it's never really dull.

Almost Famous 2000
Great soundtrack, on-point acting, I reckon a fairly accurate depiction of the 70's, nice touches of philosophy and some funny moments. Glad to scratch this off the watchlist finally.

Alien: Romulus 2024
A solid effort with a lot of nods to the OG and Prometheus plus a couple more Geiger touches not seen before. I liked the fact they used a bunch of unknown (to me) actors with the exception of Ian Holm, back from the dead. I wish the final act was a bit more restrained and they'd ended it a bit differently/more downbeat.
