Heard of it's infamy on TikTok and wanted to witness it myself.
The way it approaches the genre of blaxploitation is almost exaggerating it to it's fullest by using every stereotypical and racist depiction of African American culture.I was unsure of how Bakshi went about designing these characters but how their roles played out in the movie shows there was a specific intent Bakshi had for the designs.

Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio 2022
I knew of Gulliermo's previous films and was curious about his rendition of the fairytale.
The dark themes of the movie added some sense of reality to the story and thus more depth to the individual characters. Glad to see he stuck to what's important: anti-facism.
It was kind of crazy to watch the various adventures/struggles Pinocchio and Geppetto go through. Felt like they were jumping all over the place but ig as one does when they are a talking…
