Kinda controversial I know and maybe I didn’t watch it right but it was kinda missing the magic of the first one for me

To be strong and clever enough to bear the yoke that supports your world; I think that tugs at something in every man. Oh the music! Also the tomatoes growing in the garden and the cooking lesson and baptism scenes. The turning of the seasons and layered entourage really give a sense of place. The delicate care given to so many of the hits. Why do you always have to put the guy at ease before offing him? The Apollonia narrative kinda touched me but I came to understand that business comes first. The final scene epitomized that.

Truly magical. I yearn for the mountains. Kinda like wes Anderson but a bit less stylized. Painted such a vivid picture of the mystery and possibility of our world through a child’s eyes. This is also the type of feminism I want to see. Female leadership portrayed with character.

Rajamouli is unshackled by something that holds other filmmakers back. His signature dramatic gusts of music and explosive action might be best paired with Eega’s absurd and playful plot. The Villian is beautifully acted, and the love story is moving. Trying to avoid review inflation by being stingy with my 5 stars, but Eega made me think about it.
