Loved everything about this movie, but especially loved the narrative structure. I didn’t know who I was rooting for in the match. Every time it went back to it, I was rooting for the other guy.
Would be remiss not to shout out Trent/Atticus. I caught myself BigQuint reaction video stank face bobbing my head to the score several times.
Extremely well crafted. Interesting choice by Scorsese to forego the whodunit structure of the book, but the narrative highlights how despicable these people were. A tough watch.
WOOF. What an awful movie - some of the worst writing I’ve had to endure in a long time. The main character is insufferable, no redeeming qualities whatsoever. It was brutal to sit through this movie.
These kids are cool, I’ve watched some of their skate films and stuff on YouTube and was intrigued by the movie when I first heard about it. Don’t get duped like I did.
The skate footage was pretty dope, and I was thinking of throwing it one full star because of that, but nah, this movie sucks.
