Iconic and innovative film that is criminally under-watched today. Immediately hooked me in. Even if you "don't like" foreign films or having to read subtitles, watch Run Lola Run.

I was thinking about watching Babygirl, but then I saw the trailer and realized the film was about a dominant man and submissive woman. I immediately lost all interest. I saw Sanctuary recommended in the comments of a TikTok about Babygirl, and I am thankful I watched this instead because I loved it!

There’s so much more I could say, but it’s one of the few films that is 100% worth the praise and hype I’ve seen around it.

Whenever I tell someone I’m in film and I direct, write, act, edit, and basically do everything else, their immediate response most times is: “Like Tommy Wiseau?” After watching The Disaster Artist, I will begrudgingly agree with this comparison. I sometimes find it hard to believe that someone like Tommy Wiseau actually exists but then I look in the mirror and I remember everyone else I’ve met in film and I realize we’re all a bit of Tommy, to varying degrees. …
