Grabs you from the second its starts. The slow paced bank robbery allows the message of the way society can build up and break down their "heroes" . Al Pacino does a wonderful job showing the stress and delusions of Sonny. Loved this movie.

Chinatown 1974
Fuck Roman Polanski first off. A great noire that takes that style and truly owns it. Chinatown being the only area where Jakes weaseling of the world doesn't work is a great look into his character. His final line "as little as possible" shows how much this truth shakes him and will presumably change his path. Great movie and once again fuck Roman Polanski.

Serpico 1973
Al Pacino plays this role perfectly. The way you can feel his emotions through the subtle changes in volume and tone along with his body language allow you to feel what he is feeling. A great story about the struggles of a cop trying to serve his true justice while the system is fighting against it is truly gripping.
