Bizarre and ridiculous, but not overly complicated. Starts out particularly strong, with fun world-building and Adam Driver balancing the camp and earnestness pretty well. Aubrey Plaza totally understood the assignment and stole every second she got. The visuals were (mostly) breathtaking. As a long-awaited, indescribable, mysterious project, it's disappointing. As a final chapter to an iconic filmography (FFC making the exact movie he wanted to make without any input or support from big studios), it's a marvel. Messy, inconsistent, and tonally all over the place, but I kind of loved it?
