  honestly this really works for me as a collection of short films. i thought one was very moving, three were very good, and three were okay. if the okay ones were good i would rate this higher and if the good ones were worse it would be lower. basically, there are high highs and low lows but the lows are never really horrible, just not as inspired as the others. i think the premise of doing an exquisite corpse like this is really cool and it says so much about the directors with what direction they went in (or avoided). very cool.

  i wanted to love it but it felt bloated snd didnt justify the runtime. the acting is incredible but it didnt click for me. i thought the themes around relationships were the most compelling but least explored. and bill skarsgard is one of the best working actors but got hidden behind a goofy costume for the entire duration. 

  i dont think less of anyone for whom this works - i think it’s a technically great film. but i just didnt like it.
