  trite cop out of a review i will follow up with a re-review in a couple days when i have a better attention span- i wanna think about it with respect to presence, which i watched the night before and shares a surprising number of superficial and meaningful points of mutual appreciation. but this movie is very important to me because while people talk about lynch and the way all his work both evokes and moves in the form of dreams (and rightfully so)- this is the one that feels like my dreams feel.

  instantly canonical, one of the funniest films of the 21st century. immediately his best work. will keep it light on details as not a ton of people have gotten to see it but finds another gear in the third act that is really transcendent. i am going to watch this a hundred times
