Show me a hero? How about I show you a guy who fell ass backwards into doing something good, but was otherwise a self-serving prick.
The whole story just didn’t come across as interesting enough for me; it might have been too mundane. It was like David Simon tried to do a cross between The Wire and Crash, but jammed it all into a miniseries loosely(?) based on a true story.

Very dark, depressing movie. Things start out morbid and only get much worse from there. Not a single good, cheery thing happens the whole movie and I guess their idea of a happy ending is the main character dreaming of hopefully making it to the Vietnam war.
