There's a lot here to like. The acting is solid for the most part, pretty good direction, and amazing Soundtrack. But the terrible twist and the messy story really hold it back from being something great. Definitely listen to the soundtrack tho. That shit slaps
Lots going on in this one. One of the most beautiful and strangley emotional movies I've ever seen. I love the character work here and it has some of the most spectacular filmmaking I can imagine (I have a strange and deep fascination with long takes) but I feel an odd disconnect with some of the themes due to a lot of it being so linked to some of the history of Mexico. One of the great American films. A truly epic and grandiose film with spectacular writing and all star performances. Deserves way more love. A masterpiece.
If you got a few minutes of your time that you need to waste search the number on the phone box at the end of this episode during the credits you'll find something um interesting.
