  This movie was all over the place and lacked depth and character development. I feel like it spent the whole movie trying to explain the plot and even then I was left with questions by the end. That being said, I’ve watched the other movies in the franchise sporadically so things may have been clearer had I watched them in order. I gave it a 2.5 star for me because I loved the gore.

  This was a pretty good drama and I enjoyed the way the details changed as the story unfolded and different perspectives were brought in. Not a big fan of there being no closure at the end, however.

  I didn’t have high hopes going into this Australian-made Horror, but boy was I pleasantly surprised. When done well, a movie centred around the main cast becoming possessed can be one of my favourites. And what a job well done by such a talented young cast. This is the second horror movie I’ve watched this week and I’ve been blown away again by some incredible transitions. The horror movie genre leaves so much room for creativity and this low-budget movie has excelled at that.

  I’m keen to get more into rating and reviewing movies, and what better time to start than after just having watched the 2024 thriller Heretic, directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. This movie is an example of the perfect psychological thriller. There are a lot of ideas presented throughout that are left open to interpretation, making the viewer really think.
