  Yikes this was terrible! I am a pretty liberal dude but this family and their Trotsky spewing, bear-hand deer murdering selves were not believable or likeable enough to make the movie work.

  This was written and directed by Matt Ross aka Gavin Belson aka Alby Grant aka Yuppie Dan. Which is neat I guess. Viggo grunts his way suitably through out the movie.

  The direction wasn't all that bad besides some pacing problems here and there. The script is dumb…

  The film-making was pretty terrible at times and then at other times it was really awesome. I think the terrible times was when they were trying and the awesome ones were when they forgot to turn the camera off.

  The subject is engaging enough to make it worth the watch. This is not a history of organic chapstick documentary, it's a candid look at a rad old dude who got lucky a lot and got screwed over a lot.
