For the Cate Blanchett tee I was dead set on watching Carol, which I’ve got on Blu. But then this evening I was in a bit of a funk and didn’t really want to feel sad, so opted for Wes Anderson’s high seas adventure instead, but was still left feeling sad.
Not as sad, I don’t doubt.

I didn’t expect this short to leave me feeling the way I did. I lost my father a few years ago and as he was dying I realised a lot about how much I meant to him, despite him never really showing it too much. A very specific sequence of events meant that we reconnected before he died and seeing the lead in this hugging her childhood toy hit hard.
Grief is weird but when a passing reveals a truth…
