What an incredibly disappointing film!
Didn't realise Zack Synder directed this movie going in and given that I was expecting it to have more visual style and look nicer. This is honestly one of the blandest zombie movies I've ever watched.

Why does every exterior medium close-up on an actor look green screened ?!? The background’s always super blurry and I think they’re lit weirdly from behind and to the side making the foreground and background of every shot feel very separate!

This was a very bad adaptation! It didn't feel suited to being a film but also some of the creative decision, and even the some of the performances, were quite lacklustre.
The stage show has come under a lot of criticism since its peak (validly so) but the film felt embarrassed by the story it was trying to tell and that's never good.
It had Amy Adams and Kaitlyn Dever trying their best in it thought so that was something.
