I wonder if A24 movies will ever stop trying to be Midsommar or if that's just what we can expect from now on ...
*MINOR SPOILERS*
There is some really great stuff here, including awesome performances, interesting production design and cool suspense. Pacing was its biggest issue, and it simultaneously feels ham-handed and unclear about its thematic messaging. John Malkovich was fantastic as always.But seriously, please stop making Ari Aster clones and expecting people to eat it up. I felt the same way about The Menu, and now this one is rehashing both that and Midsommar.
