  What in the name of God did I just watch. I cannot excuse the anti-Christian agenda, and the weirdness, but there are BREATH TAKING visuals and one-liners.

  This movie is beyond everything I could ever imagine a film could be. Whiplash explores the vices of obsession and abuse through bipolar dialogue ranging from highly abrasive to encouragingly tranquil in nature. In a surprisingly short 107 minute runtime, Chazelle shows us just how impressive he is as a director. Even the incredible imagery used in the last sequence of the movie very much compliments the song and the triumphant nature of the whole moment.
