Luca keeps knocking it out of the park.
Sidenote: I connected way too much with the ending. I think I need to call my therapist.
“This ain’t murder, this is just house cleaning.”
Flossie the GOAT
I haven’t seen this film since high school, but after rewatching it, I realized it is one of the most incredible American pictures. The acting, cinematography, use of music, and its absence… all culminated in Sidney Lumet’s directorial debut, and he knocked it out of the park. He’s most likely the most extraordinary American director we’ve ever seen. I say that with bias, especially with his later film The Verdict being one of my favorites. I can’t wait to fill in the gaps in his filmography.
The knife scene, in particular, packs a punch, and I wish more modern films focused on tangible reveals rather than CGI.
I could watch this movie every day and it would never get old. I MISS you Robin Williams.
