unintentional blockbuster subversion. the lack of emotional motivation for the protagonist makes the core conflict little more than a stylish checking of boxes. Lucy is the arbiter of tropes and the enforcer of the cliché. the percentage ticking upwards throughout the film is her synchronicity with the script, and once it happens, her words for the audience are useless and irrelevant. she is god now, and it means exactly what you felt about god when the film started.
