A cute sequel/prequel to The Lion King (2019) but ultimately an unnecessary addition to the narrative. A rehash of The Lion King II: Simba's Pride would have been a better money maker for Disney. An amazing cast headed this movie but unfortunately they were not all utilized to the best of their voicing abilities.

Toy Story 4 2019
After seeing this again, my review of the movie is definitely more positive. I had issues with a 4th film adding to an already perfect narrative, but it actually doesn't do too bad in retrospect. One big downside is underutilizing characters that previously had bigger parts. However, the updated animation and amazing soundtrack make for a really cute Pixar addition.

It's pretty obvious that Lin-Manuel Miranda had no involvement with the songs in this one, but they were still pretty decent tunes; just not quite as memorable as the first movie. The storyline was the saving grace here. Overall, it's a likeable story but some elements of this one might get mixed up with the first movie.

Captain America: Brave New World 2025
While not as high-stakes as previous Captain America films, this entry still manages to be a decent movie. Ramirez shows great promise for the future of this franchise, and Mackie admirably fills a significant role; however, the other characters are less compelling. It's unfortunate that Marvel Studios abandoned Alan Silvestri's Captain America theme; good thematic music can elevate even a less-than-stellar film. Unfortunately, I don't have high hopes for where this movie is supposed to take the franchise in a year with Avengers: Doomsday.
