  When people encounter evil, usually the only thing they do is either escape from it or expel it, like in "The Exorcist", "Evil Dead", etc. In Osgood Perkins' horror however, evil is always lurking, but it is never the centrepiece.   The First Omen 2024

  "It's all for you!"
  I have a thing for religious horror. 
  Even though I don't revisit them often, The Omen movies are instant classics for me. Evil embodying itself in the form of a child is such an innovative and disturbing idea.
  I vividly remember playing the game Lucius (I believe inspired by the movie) on my old, crappy laptop: devil child, plotting "accidents", collecting souls etc. Compared with the supernatural in casual settings, the divinity nature of religion just drastically magnifies the sinisterness and the unease atmosphere.
  Overall, a rare solid prequel to a horror classic.
