I brought a friend that wanted to watch Indiana Jones instead of Barbie to this movie. I told him he should watch less movies about someone fighting political villain and more comedies.
Idk how, but I watched exactly both of what I told him by viewing a movie about a 1950s toy.
Barbie’s opening was incredible. The nod to Space Odyssey with little girls smashing baby heads to a FULL BLOWN SUPREME COURT HEARING WITHIN 10 MINUTES of the film…
Probably one of the most depressing movie endings that I've watched in a long time. Still, I would watch it again and again every day.
Besides this being a musical, you don't feel buried into cerography and dance numbers every 20 minutes. The scenery is so incredible that it almost feels like Southern California is affordable to live in.
