Beautiful exhibit of gothic horror and possibly the best thus far of Robert Eggers’ unique and fantastic filmography. Aaron Taylor Johnson gives a standout performance that makes me incredibly excited to see his future work. Unforgettable cinematography and will definitely be rewatching many a time.

Halfway between Hereditary and Silence of the lambs lives Longlegs, 101 minutes of pure concentrated stress that, from the first scene, grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go. Unsurprisingly, Nicholas Cage gives a highly unsettling but terrific performance that is complemented by the haunted despondence of Maika Monroe.
