The Godfather Part III 1990
I knew this would be my least favorite of the trilogy, but holy cow. Mostly new cast w characters that I didn’t care about, they didn’t capture the richness of the first two at all. Felt more like watching a more corporate Sopranos. The first hour was fine but it went down a steep hill from there.

Wow! Doesn’t spread itself thin telling sequel and prequel stories, very much a “Part 2” as it really completes the first one. Has the same shortfalls (unnecessarily boring scenes here and there) but just as frequently is better than the first. Comes just shy ultimately.

Modern(ish) “It’s A Wonderful Life” with classic Nic Cageisms throughout. Hints of “Overboard” too. Laughed but didn’t cry. Won’t watch it every year but better than expected.
