A whimsical journey convoyed with a signature soundtrack. Magic on stage supplanted to screen & no sacrifice to the art but aggrandizing an instant classic. I was engaged with the cast & enthralled by the subplots. Cynthia & Ariana displayed their talent & soul without insisting upon themselves. I saw the beauty & tragedy was a no show. Imperfect but immersive. I shan’t defy the gravitational pull of this endearing piece.

As a child of the 80s, I absolutely adored Beetlegeuse. The movie was endearing laced in cheesiness. I appreciated nods to the first installment. I didn’t have high expectations as it is a sequel (I trust you comprehend). I love the twist on Astrid’s impending love interest & I suspected something was off about him. Winona is amahzing & Ms Catherine O’Hara is once again divine. Michael Keaton is a national treasure & did not slack on his trouser role. I hope we will get a 3rd installment in a few decades as I find it to be apropos.

    Cheers y’all

Artistic approach to a preponderantly horrendous topic. There was a panache draping over sinister undertones. The performers had range not only by generations but scene execution laced in a facile dismount. The proverbial onion stung like the fumes to one’s eyes. The infamous scene giving us a glimpse of the non-consented debauchery proved pernicious but not so extreme as to leave us bewildered. As a feminist, I was choleric & longed for a hellacious revenge on those who thrust the Male…

I peered longful into this highly endorsed film by my pretentious twin who is paralleled to the ominous heroine that is Cairo. I entered fickle. I stayed amenable. I finished absorbed. Rare be a piece of cinema that reads as film, stage, & literature. It was vulnerable & fervent to the trifecta. I’m gagged for Beatrice. The sultry silken siren slinks seductively scene by scene. It behooves me to say that some characters were blatant afterthoughts such as Boris & Winnie. Très inutile…
