  Don’t listen to the articles saying otherwise this is a marvel movie. If you don’t like them avoid it. It has the same quippy dialogue, does not take itself seriousl, and undercuts all drama for laugh lines. I wouldn’t mind a humorous improvised dnd film like some of the reviews promised. It’s not, and everything felt very stiff and stilted. The movie is full of “Easter eggs” instead of world building. The movie also repeats marvels tried and true method…

  One of the greatest movies of all time. Denzel’s best performance in a career of capital G great movies. Spike Lee’s masterpiece. I think of it often. Denzel Washington is my favorite actor. No one has his charisma and charm. No other actor takes the calculated risks he does. He is always interesting, he can portray any range of emotions and people. No one else could possibly portray Malcom X.
